Lime Stucco Fresco Finish
An Artisan Stucco Fresco finish will differ in nothing from the walls that feature the famous fresco’s of Pompeii and the Sistine Chapel, apart from its age. Its smooth surface and soft shine echoes the atmosphere of palaces and temples of old and the facades of the streets of towns with ancient names.
The techniques of crafting this decorative plaster date back to the 16th century, and were by itself improvements of ancient Roman techniques described by Roman architect Vitruvius. Also known as Venetian Stucco, it consists of multiple layers of precise ingredients that are applied while wet on a suitable substrate like Artisan Stucco substrate mortar.
By choosing only the highest quality of natural ingredients and applying the mortar using techniques that have been tried and tested for centuries, this beautiful decorative plaster will prove to be very resistant to water and stains, radiating its beauty and brilliance for a very, very long time.
Combining Artisan Stucco Lime Putty and our white marble sands will result in a bright white smooth finish. A great variety of striking effects can be attained by using coloured lime or coloured and sparkling sands.
